Anthony Downs Derby Hat Parade
Official Rules
Non-wagering Contest: “Anthony Downs Derby Hat Parade” is a non-wagering contest that will take place at The Anthony Downs on Sunday, July 19, 2009.
Eligibility:
a) Contest participants must be 18 years or older to win.
c) Hats should be original designs – either purchased, borrowed or designed (i.e. baseball caps and non-decorated straw hats will not be considered for prizes). Hats must be no wider than 24 inches.
To Enter:
a) Register Online or at the Races between 2:00 pm and 3:30 pm on Sunday July 19th, the deadline to enter the contest is 3:30pm.
Entries will be taken behind the Grandstands. Contestants must be present at The Anthony Downs on Sunday, July 19, 2009 to win.
b) One entry per contestant.
Judging:
a) Chosen Representatives of Anthony will select candidates for Win, Place and Show. All winning hats will be selected based on creativity and originality.
b) All contest participants will report to the track after the 6th race on Sunday, July 19, 2009.
The winners will be announced at this time.
c) Eligibility for prizes is limited to the person who signs this entry form.
d) Judges’ decisions are final.
e) Must be present to win.
Prizes:
Prizes will be awarded for Win, Place and Show.
Prizes to be given are to be determined.
Liability:
All contestants, being of lawful age, hereby release and forever discharge The Anthony Downs Races, Anthony Fair Association, all affiliated companies, advertising agencies and the employees and agents of any of them (the Releasees) from, and indemnify and hold Releasees harmless from and against, any and all liability, damages, expenses (including attorneys’ fees and costs of defense) and claims of any kind or nature, whether resulting from the active negligence of Releasees or otherwise, and whether involving injuries to person or property. The contestants acknowledge and agree that any conflict or dispute with respect to the rules of the contest shall be resolved by and at the discretion of Anthony Fair Association. The contestants further consent, authorize and release the Anthony Fair Association to use and reproduce the winners’ photographs, voice on recorded tape, and the name in connection with promotions of any other lawful purpose.
The management of Anthony Fair Association reserves the right to interpret all questions and conditions in regard to this event, without claim for damages or recourse of any kind. All questions and definitions not covered explicitly in these rules will be decided by the management of the Anthony Fair Association with those decisions to be final.
